President's Letter

Winter 2013

Dear Members and Guests,

Time flies when we are helping you have fun! Our fall season was highlighted by many wonderful events, including the second annual Bush Center Warrior Open; the sixth annual ClubCorp Charity Classic, which crossed $10 million in cumulative funds raised; and the amazing success of the First Tee's campaign to reach 10 million youngsters, which has raised a staggering $106 million-plus since July 2011. We are thrilled to have played a part in all three causes, as we are to help countless charities through events at our more than 150 clubs. As we enter this new year, I thank all of you for helping all of us serve others. 

One of my favorite Gloria Estefan lyrics from her song "Always Tomorrow" says "the only one sure thing is change," and changes are everywhere at ClubCorp. We recently celebrated the grand "reopening" of several Texas clubs - the Clubs of Kingwood near Houston, the Hills of Lakeway near Austin, and Timarron Country Club and Trophy Club Country Club, both near Dallas - plus many more across the country, including Center Club in Costa Mesa, Calif., and Columbia Tower Club in Seattle. Our emphasis on capital reinvestment and programming will continue in 2013 with several more clubs slated for makeovers. We look forward to serving you further in the year ahead.
