Kudos to Tower Club in Dallas, which recently served as the venue to the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) 40th Anniversary Gala. Chris Roach, ClubCorp Director, National Sales, and former MPI DFW Chapter Board member, knowing the Tower Club team would do a great job, reached out to the club to serve as the venue and afterward proudly reported that the team “knocked it out of the park.”
Chris added, “From planning with the core event committee to execution of the event last night including the Past Presidents Reception, coordinating the special touches at the Gala Cocktail Hour, scrumptious duet entrée dinner with “speed service,” and ending the evening with personalized Fond Farewells at the elevators… the entire Tower Club team surpassed all expectations from me, the MPI Board, and all of the guests.”
Some of the comments Chris received from MPI members included:
Sherry Kupke Delagarza, MPI DFW Chapter President, “Chris thank you for your help in securing The Tower Club for our anniversary celebration. Your team did an A-MAZING job and truly make it a very special night. Congrats on a job very well done!”
Erin Lucia, MPI DFW President-Elect, “Truly amazing evening and wow the menu!!! Thank you!!”
Melissa Logar, MPI DFW Past-President (text during the event), “The food is amazing!”
Chris predicts the event will go down in the record books as one of the best ever, and not to be surprised if the event is nominated and even wins the award for the year’s best MPI DFW event.
Great job to Vicki Welch, Private Events Director (pictured above), Cory Haynes, General Manager, and the entire Tower Club team!
One of this year’s beneficiaries of Tower Club Tysons Corner’s Charity Classic event is an organization close to the Club’s heart.
On August 15th 2013, the Club’s Private Events Director Lindsay Rhoades' 2-year-old daughter, Kate, was diagnosed with Leukemia. Stillbrave, a local charity that provides non-medical, supportive care to children with cancer and their families, was the first charity to reach out to Lindsay's family when their world turned upside down.
Tower Club is proud to support not only Stillbrave and its work supporting those affected by cancer, but Augie’s Quest and ClubCorp’s Employee Partners Care Foundation.
The Tower Club Unmasked Charity Classic event takes place next week, on October 30, and features an art promenade and a silent auction. Guests can also enjoy decadent cuisine and dazzling drinks, all benefiting these worthy causes.
Can't make it to the Club's Charity Classic event? Support these great causes from afar by bidding on silent auction items online or on your mobile device.
You can register for the event online at the Club’s website.
Tower Club Tysons Corner in Tysons, Virginia, recently celebrated the day the doors of the club opened 25 years ago. More than 100 attendees of the event were treated to pass hors d'oeuvres, wine, Champagne, and – most importantly – a sneak peek at the club's reinvention plans for later this summer.
Pat Maccini, the Board of Governors chair, welcomed the Members and Guests and introduced founding Member, and current Board member, Earle Williams. Williams spoke about the beginning of the club, the changes he's seen over the years, and shared some funny stories about his time at the club before toasting to the last 25 years.
Maccini then introduced the club's new General Manager, Kara Carmichael. Kara talked about the reinvention plans and unveiled the club's new logo, finishing boards, floor plans, a few renderings, and the reinvention tagline – Prestige. Tradition. Style. – before toasting to the next 25 years.
