Parents might say it’s the most wonderful time of the year, and kids might say it’s the worst. Can you guess what I’m taking about? No, Santa Claus isn’t coming to town; it’s back-to-school season!
That time of year has rolled around again, and we wanted to help parents out with some back-to-school tips for 2013.
- Having trouble helping your daughter pick out a first-day-of-school outfit? Check out Seventeen Magazine’s quick list of fall fashion trends for girls. She’ll be voted “Best Dressed” in no time!
- Clothes, backpacks, pens – it can all add up! Try to avoid over-spending this month by shopping on tax-free weekends. Check out your state’s tax-free shopping weekend, and find out what is exempt and what isn’t.
- Unless the Seven Dwarves live at your house, you probably don’t want to be tasked with waking up Sleepy and Grumpy. Ease your kids back into those early mornings by slowly changing bed and wake-up times now.
- Here’s a sweet idea via Anthem Golf & Country Club! On the first day of school tuck a pack of Smarties into your child’s lunchbox with a note saying “Hey there, Smartie pants. Have a great first day!”
