ClubCorp Parent Child Better Ball - Creating Memories on the Course
It was family affair recently during the second annual ClubCorp Parent Child Better Ball Tournament at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. Firestone’s place within the history of golf, as evidenced by the trophies of past tour event winners displayed throughout the club, made it the ideal host – creating awesome experiences for the parents and their children playing together and competing side-by-side on such hallowed ground.
The three-day event kicked off with a welcome dinner and night-light putting contest where teams showcased their skills on a very challenging putting course and concluded – two rounds of golf and straightest drive and closest to the pin contests later – with an awards lunch and trophy presentation. Teams played one tournament round on both the South Course (site of the World Golf Championships – Bridgestone Invitational) and the West Course.
Congratulations to the winners!

The family members had a great time competing and, though not everyone was a winner in the tournament, all the participants left with memories of a one-in-a-lifetime experience.
