As a Member of Aliso Viejo Country Club (AVCC) since July 2020, my experience has truly exceeded my expectations. Everyone from the golf staff, food and beverage team, grounds crew and management are top notch. Each and every employee provides the personal touch that you hear about and expect in a private club experience. The golf course at AVCC is always well maintained, making for an exceptional golf experience. There have been times when I don’t even see any fallen leaves underneath the trees! The feeling of community at AVCC is opposite of the historically stuffy nature of Country Clubs.

Explore Area Clubs

I have been a member at Aliso Viejo Country Club since July 1, 2011.  That is also the day I retired from my 38-year career as a teacher and school principal in Orange County.  My wife Lee and I purchased a house in 2012 in the Glenwood community adjoining AVCC.  Lee passed away five years ago, and I have continued to live in my Glenwood house and be an active member of the club, participating in club events and serving on a number of committees.

In the ten years in which I have been a member of AVCC, I have enthusiastically participated in Club events, golf tournaments, social events, and activities.  It has been an honor serving in volunteer positions including as a member of the Board of Governors, Chairman of the Golf Committee, Chairman of the MGA, and other positions on the MGA Board including Communications, and Secretary.  I have also been given the role of Club Historian and continue to maintain a pictorial and anecdotal record of the club’s history over the past 10 years.

I have nothing but positive things to say about the quality of the staff at AVCC and the nature of the events in which I have participated over the years.  Over the years, the Club has been a gathering place for my children, grandchildren, and siblings at the Santa Brunch, Easter Brunch, Charity Classic, evening dining, and parties such as my recent 70th birthday party.  The Club continues to be a “home away from home” for me and I plan to continue to be a part of the magic of club life as long as I am able to.
