Chef Grant  Lawson, who has held a number of high-level management positions during his ten year career in the restaurant industry, is introduced as the Executive Chef of the Aliso Viejo Country Club, a prominent property of the ClubCorp Family.

From the start of his career, after attending the Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, he had the opportunity to work at one of Orange County’s most notable eateries, Roy's Hawaiian Fusion in Newport Beach, California. Here, Chef Grant learned the importance of focusing on superb fresh and seasonal ingredients. In the young of his career, he cooked for many celebrities, politicians and international dignitaries.

Grant then chose to broaden his culinary horizons when he accepted a position at landmark promontory and award-winning restaurant The Loft, Montage Laguna Beach. There, he spent his time absorbing the Chef de Cuisine’s culinary vision and expanding his knowledge of superb high-end ingredients and innovative preparation.

Right before joining the ClubCorp family, Grant joined the culinary team at the illustrious True Food Kitchen. Here, as the Executive Sous Chef, Grant discovered he has a well rounded palate, but admits that his favorite stations to work are the grill stations and expediting, ensuring quality control in every dish that leaves the kitchen!

Chef Grant resides in Laguna Niguel with his wife and two children. When not in the kitchen, he enjoys playing golf in his spare time.
