As the Fitness Director of Aliso Viejo Country Club, Milka Gronlund, PhD. is honored to be able to educate and help the members achieve fitness and wellness goals. A significant part of her work is centered on program development and education of the members on the benefits of exercise and a healthy lifestyle. She enjoys writing articles and communicating with members personally in addition to providing individual training.

Dr. Gronlund is certified and trained in many areas of wellness; including naturopathy, nutritional wellness, yoga, Pilates, personal training, dance and sports nutrition. She has been in the fitness and wellness industry for the past 20 years. She has a versatile clientele, ranging from children to the elderly, including those who are serious about excelling in sports.

Dr. Gronlund is also the Director of Bodymind Wellness at Physica, Inc in Irvine, CA. She is delighted to be a part of the team to help the patients become happier and healthier. She offers nutrition and wellness consultations, small groups and personal appointments. Her passion is to help people become healthier. She is honored to be in charge of developing innovative wellness programs in Physica, Inc.

She received her doctorate in Naturopathy with honors in 2008 from Clayton College of Natural Health and thereafter became certified in traditional naturopathy and nutritional wellness. She completed her post doctorate certificate in Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency at California Southern University in 2012. Dr. Gronlund is currently doing research and completing a doctorate in psychology (PsyD) at California Southern University.

Dr. Gronlund spends a great deal of time educating clients about body mind connection, nutrition and wellness. She works with patients in Hoag Hospital, teaching body mind and spirit focused exercise, nutrition, meditation, dance and fitness classes. Her clientele also includes children, who attend biweekly exercise classes as a part of an innovative play school program in Irvine.

Her approach to helping people is educational and supportive; therefore the appointments are highly individualized as each person has unique needs. She enjoys sport specific conditioning that combines various techniques that can be used for helping golfers or other athletes with their performance related and functional training. She enjoys working with a team of professionals, such as physical therapists, medical doctors, holistic health professionals and chiropractors to better help her clients with their needs.
