A native of Washington, D.C., Wade’s first fine dining experience was at the Candlelight Club in Coconut Grove Florida.
That Night Barry Manilow and Dionne Warwick stopped by after a concert and sang at the piano bar. His dining experience was magical and he fell in love with the environment and was hired the next day for my first food and beverage experience.
Wade worked for Tony Romas, The Ally, Suzannes in the Grove and a Club called Cats all in the Coral Gables and Coconut Grove Area of South Florida.
In 1983, Wade met an investor that purchased 13 historic hotels on South Beach and he wanted to bring life back to this area and create a dining and entertainment district in the depressed area of the beach. While serving he met the crew from Studio 54 in New York City and they were opening a nightclub in South beach. He opened Club Z with them in 1984. Club Z was designated the business that brought back life to the beach and in July 1984 we hosted the Tina Turner "Private Dancers" first show.
Wade moved to Atlanta Georgia in late 1984 to open the Peachtree Executive Conference Center and also opened the Sheraton Parkway 75 in Marietta, Georgia in December of 1985.
In 1989, he moved back to South Florida and worked at the Bonaventure Resort and Spa until 1995 as the Food and Beverage Operations Director.
Wade moved to Dallas in 1996 to open the Adams Mark Texas Largest Hotel and as the Banquet Director
In 2001, Wade worked as Director of Operations at the Miramonte Resort in Palm Springs and also at the Pfister and Hilton in Milwaukee for the Marcus Hotel Group.
Wade moved to Chicago in 2002 and worked at the W Hotel Lakeshore as Food and Beverage Director
Wade moved to Phoenix to work at the Boulders Resort as the Food and Beverage Director from 2002 - 2006 and at the Peaks in Telluride Colorado 2007- 2009.
