Larry's Construction Update
The push is on. It is an amazing feeling to take a tour of the new Club every day. Even within one day, drastic changes can be seen and the Club is coming together before our eyes. Being here in the same building is convenient, but not having the great conversations with Member on a daily basis makes me a little lonely. I miss seeing you all! I take multiple trips up to the 51st floor to insure the Club is on schedule.
Not being a contractor, I enjoy this stage and I will tell you the kitchen is coming together wonderfully. We expect to have the kitchen totally done by end of next week. We have added about 1000 Sq. Ft. to the kitchen vs. the space we had at Bunker Hill. The layout is particularly efficient as it is being specially designed to fit the needs of our Members and their dining interests today. The equipment will reflect the equipment necessary to accomplish all culinary needs for our
Arbor dining room, the Aperture Lounge , and the expanded ball room which will seat 400. I never new I could get so excited about walk-ins and ovens.
It's perfect timing, as we are in the middle of interviewing our Executive Chef. We have interviewed many candidates and narrowed the choices down to 3 candidates. We will be culinary testing at the Center Club later this week with a panel from here and Center Club. We anticipate making a decision on the Executive Chef by next week. Keep an eye out for the announcement. We are eager for you to meet your new Chef.
These are exciting times and we cannot wait to show you your new Club. If you have not taken a hard hat tour come on over! Many members have popped by to say hello and check the progress. It's best if you can call us to let us know you are coming. Be sure to bring your friends to show off your new club.
