Larry's Fond Farewell
A quick update today on the move from Bunker Hill to the City National Bank Building. The move was not unlike many other moves in my life. It was stressful and a lot of hard work! I would like to thank the entire staff of City Club with leadership from Brian Ayers and Enrique Quezada in the heart of the house and John Brennan (our new Assistant General Manager) and Juan Robles for their leadership in the front of the house. It was truly a team effort and I am proud of how the City Club staff has been handling all of the changes. Even during an emotional move, they have not skipped a beat and well exceeded my expectations. On a side note, much of the Club furnishings were sold (thank you to the buyers) and proceeds will go to the Disabled Vets. Some of the artwork we didn't sell will be re-purposed and re-framed for the new Club. Yet with all that, we still managed 5 days of moving ourselves and loading up the 4th floor of the CNB Building with tons of equipment, dishes, silver, files, and much, much more.
I took this kind of lonely picture, leaving behind 20 years of wonderful memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am truly blessed with a wonderful crew to work with and by far and away the best Members in the world. Thank you City Club on Bunker Hill for defining what a Club should be. Welcome City Club Los Angeles...about to redefine what the City of Los Angeles should be.
