The Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club dress code applies to all Members and guests age 4 and up. Please wear appropriate Coto de Caza country club attire at the Club.

Clubhouse facilities

For gentlemen, minimum appropriate Coto de Caza country club attire includes shirts with collars and sleeves, and 17-inch minimum length shorts or slacks. For ladies, minimum appropriate attire includes sportswear tops with shorts that are no more than five inches from the back of the knee. Proper tennis attire is acceptable in the grill and on the grill patio, including the area outside the card room, through the hours lunch and dinner are served. T-shirts are not allowed. Shorts are not permitted at Friday elegant dining. Please wear shoes. Hats must be worn forward at all times. Hats, caps and visors on men, and visors and caps on women, are allowed during dinner hours in the Sala de Festa Grille.

These items are not allowed:

• Denim shorts, skirts, skorts, dresses, shirts, blouses and jackets
• T-shirts of any kind, color or cost
• Hooded sweatshirts (in lieu of a collared shirt)
• Sweat pants, swimsuits and all pool attire, body suits (spandex, etc.), bicycle shorts, short shorts
• Tank tops, tube tops, bare midriffs or other extreme cut-away tops
• Worn or tattered clothing

Dress denim

Coto de Caza Club dress denim is defined as denim worn as slacks (includes capri pants). Dress denim is only allowed in the grill (Sala de Festa), grill patio and card room (Sala de Cazador). Dress denim is not allowed in the upstairs dining rooms, pavilion, adult fine dining or at Member special events (unless specified). Dress denim must be in good condition, without holes, rips or frays. Acid washed denim, handwritten messages, pictures, inappropriate messages and visible undergarments or midriffs are not allowed.

Special occasions

There may be special occasions when more formal attire is required. Please refer to the Club calendar and promotional fliers for the conditions such as “jackets required,” “black tie optional,” etc.

Spa and sports club

Appropriate workout attire is allowed. No denim of any kind is allowed in the athletic facility. Appropriate shirts and shoes must be worn. Dress denim is appropriate in the Michael Chang Lounge, but swim attire is not.

Golf

Male golfers must be properly attired in collared golf shirts with sleeves, and golf slacks or golf shorts (with a length no higher than four inches above the knee). Female golfers must be properly attired in sleeveless golf shirts with collars or collarless golf shirts with sleeves, and dress shorts, skirts or skorts (must be no higher than five inches above the knee or have a minimum outer seam length of 17 inches). Please wear soft-spike golf shoes or tennis shoes only. Please wear hats forward and keep shirts tucked in at all times (unless the entire front length is button-down). Jeans, denim, cargo shorts/pants (defined as shorts or pants with external expandable side pockets), swimsuits, cut-off shorts, sweat pants, T-shirts, tank tops tube tops, halter tops, bare midriffs or other extreme cut-away tops, and bare feet are not allowed. All clothing must be in good condition.

Tennis

All players need to wear appropriate tennis attire. Cut-off jeans, swimsuits, gym shirts, tank tops for men and other such clothing is not allowed. Midriffs are not allowed to show. Tennis logoed T-shirts are allowed for juniors under the age of 18. Cotton T-shirts are not acceptable for adults. Please wear properly soled, non-marking tennis shoes. Bare feet and general-purpose athletic shoes (including black-soled shoes) are not allowed. 

Pool

All swimmers need to wear proper swimming attire. Cut-offs, Bermudas and other clothing shorts are not permitted as swimwear. All diaper-age children must wear rubber pants with elastic at the waist and legs, in addition to diapers, at all times while in the pools.
