Splash and play

Country Club of Hilton Head offers one of the only indoor heated pools on Hilton Head Island, a beautiful outdoor pool with snack bar and a shallow wading pool just for the little ones. Additionally, our professional swim instructor is available to teach group and private lessons to Members of all ages and swim levels.

Indoor pool

20-meters in length, the indoor pool is designed for lap swimmers and shallow water aerobic classes. The water temperature is maintained at 84-87 degrees, which is the proper temperature for therapeutic exercises. The pool is reserved during certain morning hours for scheduled classes. Individual and group swim lessons are available in the indoor pool.

Outdoor pool

25 meters in length, the outdoor pool is surrounded by an expansive pool sun deck with plenty of lounge seating and umbrellas for the entire family. We offer a separate 1 ft wading pool for the little ones and certified lifeguards are available during designated hours for your peace of mind. Additionally, we conduct deep water aerobic classes, some shallow water aerobic classes, and group and individual swim instruction in this pool during the summer.

Water Babies Program

Our swim instrutors take a gentle approach to infant and toddler swim lessons in the Water Babies program. In the process of teaching children to respect we also understand that teaching a child to swim is a long-term process that involves a delicate balance of sensitivity, motivation, skill - and fun!
Toddlers are taught to jump into the pool, turn around and swim back to the side of the pool - it is their first water-safety lesson. However, well before this is taught, baby swim classes are designed to ensure that your child has one very important foundation: that of being comfortable in the water, and therefore unlikely to panic should an immersion accident occur.
