In addition to serving as Director of Food and Beverage at Country Club of the South, Mike also serves as the Regional Director of Food and Beverage for ClubCorp’s Southeast Region (Atlanta, Hilton Head, Raleigh, Jacksonville and Aiken, SC). While serving the region in a supportive role, Mike also oversees the day-to-day food and beverage operations of Country Club of the South. His main focus is to provide consistent, quality service to members and guests, with an emphasis on staff training and development. For his work with ClubCorp, Mike has received a number of company honors, including a 2011 Super Star Award and a 2012 Rising Star Award.
Mike is a Chicagoland native and a CIA (Culinary Institute of America) graduate. Early in his career, Mike worked with James Beard-awarded celebrity chef, Rick Bayless at his restaurants Topolobampo and Frontera Grill in Chicago. Mike has a wealth of managerial experience in the food and beverage world, including that at two AAA Four-Diamond properties in Atlanta: Four Seasons Hotel (Restaurant & Lounge Manager, Park 75) and The Food Studio restaurant (General Manager).
Mike lives in Decatur with his partner, John Lemley (Atlanta radio personality and host of City Café), and their three furry "children," Jeffrey (a Chinese Shar Pei), and two cats, Lexie and Dr. Bombay.
