John is originally from Pine Level, North Carolina. He graduated from Wayne Community College where he received his associate's degree in Applied Science of Turf Management. Before joining the Devils Ridge staff, John’s career in Turf Management began at The Neuse Golf Club in 1994. He made his way to Devils Ridge in 1999 as the Assistant Superintendent. In 2007, John was promoted to Superintendent and is now a Class A Golf Course Superintendent.
