Eagle Watch Course
Situated amid a beautiful natural setting in the scenic foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just north of Atlanta in Woodstock, Georgia, the course at Eagle Watch has the kind of character and power one would expect from its designer, Arnold Palmer. With fairways surrounded by wooded hills, ponds and creeks add challenge and interest to the layout, this club will almost certainly bring out the best golf in every player.
The Arnold Palmer-designed course was built in August of 1989 and it has consistently ranked among the top places to play in Atlanta by golfing publications. Eagle Watch is a traditional-style course with a number of dramatic elevation changes and water features that protect 10 of the 18 holes. Eagle Watch’s signature hole is the very picturesque No. 14, where the drama is all about the lake that protects the front and right side of a sloping, two-tiered green.
Eagle Watch is open seven days a week. Walking is permitted after 2:00 PM on weekends/holidays.
Bentwater Golf Club, located in Acworth, near Marietta and Kennesaw, is one of Northwest Atlanta’s best golf courses, offering almost 7,000 yards from the back tees. However, the course is better known for its scenic appeal than its difficulty. Striking views of Red Top Mountain, as well as the navigating ponds, creeks and wetlands will highlight your round at Bentwater.
Bentwater Golf Club, which opened to rave reviews in 2000, is a parkland-style Mike Dasher design. Dasher, a native Georgian and graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology, worked with world-renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills for the first 16 years of his career, learning and developing his skills. He branched out and established his own golf course design firm in 1997. In addition to designing Bentwater, Dasher is also credited as the architect of Traditions of Braselton, another popular golf course in the ClubCorp family.
Walking is permitted after 1:00 PM on weekends/holidays (April 1st-October 31st)
