Steven Adams was born and raised in Greenville, SC. After graduating from high school Steven was accepted to attend school at Clemson University. It was in his sophomore year that he started working for the Pollard family at the popular restaurant Calhoun Corners. He began as a server and was promoted to manager where he worked throughout his college career.
Since, Steven has worked at Seven Oaks in Greenville, SC, Lloyd’s Restaurant in Atlanta, GA, Buckhead Life Restaurant Group at Kyma and The Atlanta Fish Market, Crowne Plaza Atlanta- Buckhead, Georgian Terrace Hotel and Livingston Restaurant in Midtown Atlanta.
In 2009 Steven moved to Tallahassee, FL to open as General Manager to open Shula’s 347 in Hotel Duval. He was promoted to Director of Food & Beverage of Hotel Duval in 2015 and eventually promoted to Corporate Director of Food & Beverage for Hunter + Harp Hospitality in March 2011.
Steven was elected President of the Tallahassee Chapter of Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association for 2014 and was VP of Restaurants for 2013 and 2012. Steven is a State Executive Board Member of the FRLA and is very involved with, and contributes to many community and charity organizations through Hunter + Harp including Leon County Humane Society, Cards for a Cure, Kids Across America, Living Well Tallahassee, YMCA, and numerous others.
Steve has two grown children, and he is engaged to be married in the spring of 2015. He enjoys cooking, snow skiing and collecting art. He is a member of the Courts of Masters Sommeliers and a Certified Sommelier.
