Tennis etiquette guidelines

• Anyone preparing to enter or cross a court should wait until play has halted, then go quickly and quietly to their assigned court.
• Anyone asking for the return of a tennis ball from another court should ask only when play on that court has stopped. Players should not retrieve a tennis ball from another court themselves.
• At the end of their playing period, players must promptly leave their court to the next players. Both parties need to be considerate when leaving or taking a court.
• Once a Member is off the court, the Member may sign up for the next available court time.
• Proper tennis etiquette should be followed at all times. Excessive noise, racquet throwing and profanity are not allowed on the courts, or in the area of the courts at any time. A low profile is appropriate and appreciated.
• People who are not playing should stay off the court surfaces.
