Fall 2013 Tennis Academy

The U.S.P.T.A. certified tennis professionals at Hunter’s Green are dedicated to not only training junior players in fundamentals and strategies of the game, but training players to become determined, disciplined, and confident. Our low player to professional ratio allows for every student to receive individualized instruction.


Program Sessions

Session 1: August 26th – September 21st 

(No Class on Labor Day Monday, Sept 2nd) 

Session 2: September 23rd  – October 19th 

Session 3: October 21st  – November 16th

(No Class on Veterans Day Monday, November 11th) 

Session 4: November 18th – December 21st 

(No classes November 25th – 29th Happy Thanksgiving) 

Turkey Tennis Camp

November 25th – 27th 

Beginner & Intermediate Class Times & Descriptions

Tiger Cubs – Tues. 3:30 – 4:00p.m.

Fun introductions to tennis using age appropriate red tennis balls. Racquet & ball skills, hand-eye coordination development for 3-4 year olds on a 36 x 18ft court with a 2 x 9ft net. 

Tiger Tennis – Tues. &/or Thurs. 4:00 – 5:00p.m.

FUNdamental introduction to tennis for 4-6 year olds. Strokes, hand-eye coordination, racquet skills, movement, and games are stressed while using age appropriate red tennis balls. 

Future Champs – Mon. &/or Wed. 4:00 – 5:00p.m., Sat. 10:00 – 11:00a.m.

For beginner to intermediate 7-10 year olds using age appropriate orange balls. Introduction to grips, stroke footwork, and point play. Goals for this class include learning to rally, scoring, sportsmanship, and rules of 10 and under play on 60 x 21ft court. 

Challengers – Mon. &/or Wed. 5:00 – 7:00p.m.

For intermediate 11-16 year old players. Fundamentals, drills, strategy, match play, and light physical conditioning. Students are encouraged to practice with good technique and control. 

Advanced Class Times & Descriptions

*Tournament Team – Tues. & Thurs.- 5:00 – 7:00p.m.

Advanced competitive training for junior players looking to be state ranked. Students must play a minimum of two tournaments monthly. Strokes, footwork techniques, drills, mental toughness, strenuous physical conditioning, and strategy are improved upon. 

**New This Fall!**

*High School Hit – Mon. & Wed. – 6:00 – 8:00p.m.

This advanced level class has an emphasis on the physical and mental parts of tennis. With a focus on helping players become smarter by concentrating on shot selection, point strategy, and understanding court positioning. 

*Limited space available. Players must meet specific qualifications for both advanced groups.
