|Role:||Head Golf Professional|
Born and raised in Noblesville, Indiana, Cody learned to play golf at an early age with help from his grandparents and his uncle, who is also a PGA Golf Professional, and former Director of Golf at Firestone Country Club for over 20 years. He began playing golf at age 6 and quickly took to the game. Playing competitively thru high school, he knew golf was his passion, and went to school to learn the business. He attended the Golf Academy of America right out of high school in 2005, spending almost 2 years in Myrtle Beach studying all facets of the Golf Business, including Food and Beverage, Golf Operations, Rules of Golf, History of the Game, Marketing, and Accounting. He graduated in December 2006 with an Associate’s degree in Professional Golf Management and Business Management. After Myrtle Beach, Cody completed a 6-month internship at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in North Carolina, where he was a Golf Academy Intern. After completing the internship in August 2007, he started his position as 1st Assistant Golf Professional at The Bridgewater Club in Carmel, Indiana, where he spent almost 10 years before joining the Knollwood team! It was during his time at Bridgewater that he really honed his skills in customer service, and continued improving his knowledge of the golf business. He was able to complete the PGA program requirements while at Bridgewater and was elected a Class A PGA Member in December 2013.
Cody joined the Knollwood team in March 2017 as the Head Golf Professional. Cody’s parents still live in Noblesville, has a younger sister in Washington state, and an older sister who has lived in Hawaii since 2005. Cody tries to make it to Hawaii every year to visit and enjoy the islands. Cody’s other interests include rooting for the Indiana Hoosiers, the Pacers, the Colts, listening to all types of music, watching movies, and staying active by working out, golfing, or shooting hoops.
