La Cima's Welcoming Committee's purpose is to make contact with new members encouraging participation in club events in order for them to quickly gain a feeling of belonging. The Welcoming Committee meets once per month, the first Wednesday of the month at 5:30 PM, to select names of new members to contact by phone and with a personal note card. Once a month members host a Happy Hour prior to Orientation to meet new members face to face and discover their objectives in joining La Cima. Another positive outcome of being a committee member is getting to know Club members, potential networking opportunities, and being "in" on what is going on at the Club.
