Brian Saba was born and raised in Fridley, Minnesota. Growing up, Brian played football, tennis and baseball. He went on to play college football at Iowa State University. After one year, injuries forced Brian to leave the game of football and finish his degree at Minnesota State University-Mankato. Here he graduated with a B.S. Degree in Physical Education and a Minor in Corporate and Community Health.
Brian obtained his CSCS Certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and went on to become the strength and conditioning coach at the University of Minnesota. At Minnesota, Brian trained the women’s hockey team, football, track and field, men’s basketball and softball. The next coaching stop for Brian was with the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL. Here, he worked with elite professional athletes during both seasons. He supervised and administered the strength and conditioning programs. After his NFL work, Brian decided to move to Gainesville, Florida and take a job as the strength and conditioning coach at the University of Florida where he worked exclusively with the football team.
Throughout his coaching career, Brian learned a great deal of knowledge including; proper and safe exercise techniques, developing and learning new strength exercises, conditioning programs, stretching routines, rehab exercises, core stability training and valuable functional training exercises.
Brian has had various injuries and surgeries and has had his share of physical therapy. This motivates him to bring out the best in his clients to reach their personal goals. He brings an extensive knowledge to the Personal Training Program here at Las Colinas Country Club. Brian’s specialty is to design individualized training programs catered to the client’s needs and goals.
We are excited to have a former NFL and college strength and conditioning coach and all the experience Brian brings to the personal training program. Brian, with his enthusiasm and creativity, is a great addition to the ClubCorp family at Las Colinas Country Club.
