Curtis Reese was born in Tupeko, Kansas and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Curtis moved to Rockwall, Texas, where he began his tennis career. He achieved many accolades and awards, and while playing number 1 for Rockwall High School, he won Regionals three out of four seasons.
In college, Curtis played for Eastfield College and earned a spot in the college nationals his sophomore year. He then transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma State where he played singles and number 1 doubles. His senior year, Curtis helped captain his team to a national ranking. Furthermore, Curtis helped his team win the first ever NCAA Div II All Sports Trophy.
After college, Curtis settled down and focused on being a teaching professional. He spent the next 10 years at Brookhaven Country Club, where he ran part of the extensive junior program for seven years that included running tournaments, Team Tennis and the junior travel team. The last three years spent at Brookhaven, Curtis worked with the adult program. Also, Curtis was the head stringer at Brookhaven, which was a 3000-raquet per year operation.
Curtis is very excited about being at Las Colinas Country Club. He is looking forward to building the membership and programming. He is certified USPTA, USRSA, DPTA and FWPTA.
