Sean Teeter was born in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in Grapevine, Texas. He began playing tennis at age 13 and was on the Varsity tennis team at Colleyville Heritage High School.
Throughout high school he worked at Trophy Club Country Club as the head stringer as well as taught camps and the quickstart program. He graduated from Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina in three years with a degree in Business Administration and a Concentration in Professional Tennis Management. At Methodist he played doubles and singles and was an Academic All-American. While in college Sean worked summers at the Top Notch Tennis Resort in Stowe Vermont, which is Ranked #1 in the Northeast and 6 in the U.S. for Tennis Resorts, and at The Dunes Club in Narragansett, Rhode Island. At both clubs he worked with adults and juniors in player development. At the Dunes Club, he ran the junior team matches and was Co-Director of the Junior Development at the Dunes Club.
Sean’s passion for racquet technology and stringing led him to get his Master Racquet Technician certification and to assist in teaching the Racquet Stringing Class in the Spring of 2011 at Methodist University. Sean is USPTA Certified, a Certified Master Racquet Technician (MRT) and a Certified Dartfish Analyst.
