Gus Thompson is the Club’s Director of Operations and prior to that he was the Food and Beverage Director. Gus brings a wealth of experience and leadership to our team.
Gus has been the Food and Beverage Manager at the Handlery Hotel in San Diego, Assistant General Manager at Karl Strauss Brewing Company and also worked for Loews Coronado Bay Resort and Spa. We look forward to Gus bringing enthusiasm and dedication to all of our Food and Beverage operations.
Gus was born and raised in Germany and attended college at San Diego State University, where he played rugby. Gus founded Mission Valley Craft Beer Festival and San Diego Bacon Fest. He lives in Imperial Beach and enjoys deep sea fishing.
