Stuart's club experience began when he accompanied his grandmother, at the young the age of five, to her local country club where she played bridge. During these annual summer trips to the club with grandma, he migrated outdoors to the putting green and became interested in golf. By his senior year, his team had won the state championship. He worked his way through college on the grounds crew of the local country club and an internship at Medinah Course, the host course of the 2012 Ryder Cup, in his senior year.

Upon graduation from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Mizzou, he served for 13 years as a Golf Course Superintendent, including two years at Sandy Lane Hotel and Golf Club in St. James, Barbados. Upon his return to the U.S., he served as Membership Director at the University Club of Missouri. He was the Assistant Club Manager at Knollwood Country Club located in Granger, IN. He was then promoted to the General Managers position at Silver Lake in Akron and four years later became the Regional Manager for Hilton Head overseeing the operations of The Golf Club at Indigo Run and Golden Bear Golf Club as well as regional responsibilities over The Country Club of Hilton Head.

Stuart and his wife Karen have two beautiful daughters, Amanda and Morgan.
