Oak Tree Country Club provides private lessons for golfers of all ages. The staff of trained PGA golf professionals provide high quality, modern golf instruction. Oak Tree has a long history of producing many of the state's rising golf stars and developing the next generation of professional golfers, such as Kevin Tway and Robert Streb, to name a few. Over the last 12 years, the Club has had more than 20 junior golfers earn Division 1 college golf scholarships. Our goal is for your child to not only improve their skills, but also develop an appreciation for the game that will continue to grow.
Oak Tree offers a Junior Golf Development Membership for children age 18 and younger who want to enjoy membership privileges to play and practice at Edmond's premier golfing facility.
Oak Tree Junior Golf Academy’s mission is to provide a fun and nurturing environment for junior golfers to develop and grow a love for the game of golf.
The Oak Tree Junior Golf Academy is a year round program composed of 3 levels depending on the student’s ability. The program is one day a week with multiple class schedules to help cater to your busy lifestyle. Each month will consist of 5 to 6 hours of group instruction including skills challenges throughout the year. During the winter months the classes are held after school; during the summer they will be held on weekday mornings.
For Information or to Sign Up, contact our Director of Instruction Chad Bakken, Chad.Bakken@clubcorp.com.
The Club offers multiple Junior Golf Camps during the summer.
Each camp lasts 3 days. You will pick one off day for your junior to give them an opportunity to work on the instruction learned and also to participate in our season long PDP Program with Chad Bakken. The final day all participants will compete in a fun tournament with awards after the round. There will be two separate age divisions.
The camp will be focused more towards on course instruction rather than the traditional instructional camps of the past. Your junior will get the full golf experience in a safe, competitive, fun environment. The goal is to have swing instructions and on course knowledge while playing with one of Oak Tree’s Professionals.
Oak Tree's Junior Tennis Program is well-rounded and diverse. The program offers opportunities for beginners to competitive players. Each year, the Oak Tree Junior Tennis Program produces several Division 1 college scholarship players, many national champions, Missouri Valley champions and state high school champions. Quality coaching, great facilities and attention to detail all create the overall atmosphere that create champions, whether at the national or local level.
Oak Tree's swimming program includes a swim team and lessons. The interclub swim team practices through the end of July, and meets are held each week during the summer at different local clubs. The swim team's emphasis is on self-improvement and fun rather than tough competition. To participate, children must be able to swim one length of the Olympic pool without assistance. Registration begins in April and continues through May.
Private, semi-private or group swimming lessons are available. Classes begin after Memorial Day and continue into August.
Oak Tree Country Club offers a variety of camps and activities for all ages.
