The Piedmont Charitable Foundation needs your help andinvitesyou to ourfirst 54 Hole Summer Solstice Charitable Golf tournament.

All netproceeds from the tournament benefit the local Charities supporting by the Piedmont Charitable Foundation

As an entrant you can apply your donations to all of our charities or designate your donations to one of the following local charities*.

Piedmont Club in Haymarket, Virginia on Tuesday, June 19thSeptember 10th, 2013. A continental breakfast will be served at 7:30 AM and the event will be a shotgun start at 8am. Lunch will be served on the course and beverages will be available after the event during the winner’s ceremony.

Registration:The event will host up to a maximum of 75 players. Each player will be requested to seek a minimum of 10 sponsors at $1 per hole ($54) with the goal of securing 30 sponsors.

The player with the largestamount of sponsor donations collected by the tournament date will receive aPinehurst Weekend including:

  • Weekend Rental package of a 3 bedroom home in Pinehurst, North Carolina( $500 Value)
  • 1 Greens fee forPinehurst #2 and a discount guest pass for #2

($400 Value)

  • The top sponsor donation will also receive a $500 gift certificate towards new 2014 fitted irons.
  • Each player sponsor will be included in a random draw for a $200 Pro Shop gift certificate

 

 

Golf Tournament Format:Players will compete in a 54 hole "eclectic" tournament with the best 18 hole score. Prizes will go to the best Gross and Net Male Player and the best net Female player. Each player will have his/her own golf carts to move from hole to hole as quickly as possible. Players can play more than 1 ball per hole and this is encouraged wherever the player decides to play a second ball such as on the par 3s.

Golf Tournament Scoring:This eventis managed by 2014 USGA handicaps if available or at the discretion of the tournament commissioners to assign a handicap. To be eligible for the top prizes, players are asked to secure a minimum of 10 sponsors for a least the minimum of $540 (10x$54) of collected donations.

Location and Course Design: The Piedmont Golf Club is located just off Route 66 exit 40 at 14675 Piedmont Vista Drive, Haymarket, VA 20169 (703-753-5922). The golf course is a true Fazio classic, with generous fairways and medium-sized, subtle greens. It has been described as one of the fairest, most enjoyable and best-conditioned courses in Northern Virginia. This private Tom Fazio course harmonizes with dramatic elevation changes in landscape. It is a Par 72 course that plays 7,000 yards from the back tees.

Dress Code: The Piedmont Club maintains a dress code for the golf course, practice area, and all club facilities. Proper attire includes golf shirts with collars and sleeves, golf sweatshirts, golf slacks, and Bermuda-length golf shorts (up to four inches above the knee). Blue jeans or denim of any kind are not permitted on the club premises. Proper attire does not include tee shirts, tank tops, mesh shirts, collarless shirts, coach’s shorts, sweatpants, cut-off denim, or swimwear.

Tournament Weather Policy: The event will be played rain or shine except in the event of severe weather or if club management closes the course. If the conditions do not allow you to play on the scheduled day, we will work with you to reschedule. In the event that the golf course is closed due to inclement weather before play has begun, each player will receive a complimentary round of golf.
