Keeping Special Moments "Frozen" in Time During Annual Father/Daughter Dance
Few things touch the heart more than the bond between a father and his daughter. The Rivers Club is delighted to carry on its annual tradition
of celebrating this important relationship during the 2015 Father/Daughter Dinner Dance scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 10.
Your Frozen-obsessed girls will be excited to know our special guests are traveling all the way from Arrendale to the Rivers Club. Princess Anna
and Queen Elsa will be ready to greet guests, take pictures, mingle and dance the night away.
The Father/Daughter Dinner Dance typically draws more than 100 guests. Girls, ages four to 12, dressed in their party best—and even some Anna and
Elsa look-a-likes—enjoy special time with their fathers and friends. It’s an elegant, yet light-hearted atmosphere. In fact, it’s often difficult to say
who has more fun as the Dads try to match their daughters’ enthusiasm—especially on the dance floor. A deejay playing all of the best dance music
for the girls and their dads keeps up the energy. And, since we know you haven’t heard “Let It Go” enough, we’ll be sure to play it at least once—or as
requested by the girls!
General Manager Jack Kimbell says the most touching aspect of the dance is observing the liveliness of the fathers on the dance floor with their little girls. Who knew so many of you grown men could dance?
“This is one of our favorite events at the Club. It’s a blast to see some of our members—adult businessmen, hard workers, providers, turn into such softies around their daughters,” says Kimbell. “At the end of the day, all of us fathers love to spoil our daughters. The Rivers Club is proud to help create these special, lasting memories that dads can share with their girls for a lifetime. And maybe, we can all improve our dancing skills in the process.”
You won’t leave hungry, as guests will enjoy a buffet suitable for both Dad and daughter, with mouthwatering after-dinner treats such as an ice cream sundae bar and made-to-order milkshakes. A professional photographer will be on hand to capture all the moments you won’t want to “let go…”
Get your suits ready, the dresses pressed and the dancing shoes out because this is one party you won’t want to miss! For more information about the 2015 Father/Daughter Dinner Dance or to RSVP, call the Rivers Club at 412.391.5227.
