I am very excited to be the Head Golf Professional at Rolling Green Country Club!  I grew up in Tinley Park, IL and caddied at Ravisloe Country Club in Homewood, IL.  After graduating from Illinois State in 1979, I joined the team at Rolling Green under former Head Professional Bill Ventresca.  I became the Head Professional in 1991 and I am proud to still be here today.

Outside of the club, I enjoy golf and spending time with my wife Marie.  I have served 6 years on the Illinois PGA Board of Directors and have been serving on the Finance Committee for many years as well. I was awarded the IPGA Senior Masters Honor in 2013.

One of my fondest memories at Rolling Green was also the day I scored my lowest 18 hole score here at the Club.  It was Ladies “Beat the Pro” day and I scored 66.  Don’t worry, I did apologize to the Ladies League!

Role: Golf Course Superintendent
Serving Since: 1974

I first came to RGCC in 1974 as a "B" caddie, without a doubt the worst caddie in the long history of RGCC. Based on my stellar performance as a caddie, then superintendent, Bob Kronn hired me for the grounds crew in 1978. I worked at RGCC on the grounds crew during the summer while I was attending college. Four weeks before I graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in secondary education I decided I did not want to be a teacher. I returned for yet another summer and Bob told me he would not take me back to just be a member of the crew, but if I wanted to go to school to get a turf degree he would take me back, the rest is history.

I enrolled at Harper College in the Turf Management Program where I not only got my career started but also met my wife Laura. We have been married for 27 years and have two children, Josh (23), a turf student at SIU, many of you know him from his 5 years working for me, and Nikki (19), a student at MCCC.

After several years away and several courses worked for, I returned as Superintendent to Rolling Green in January of 2005 and have been here and happy ever since.
