62% Syrah, 27% Mourvèdre, 7% Grenache, 4% TannatNever stop learning and never give up. Does perfectionism exist? A whole-cluster fermented, concrete aged wine that exhibits earth and tar subtleties with a chewy minerality. A gorgeous wine in the eyes of the beholder. Dark black fruits of fig, blackberry, liquorice spice evolve into a life changing experience. Perhaps the most food friendly wine to date. Drink now through 2020.
2011 Sticks & Stones
53% Grenache, 28% Syrah, 19% Mourvèdre
Grenache anyone? Repeat after me; "delicious, but not over the top gaudy." Bright raspberries, black cherries and a clean line of acidity make this wine a crowd pleaser. Partly fermented in concrete, aged in 500L (large format) barrels to impart smokey toast and soften tannins. A sense of new meets old. For 10 years I have produced Sticks and Stones from over the top opulence to firm and structured. This vintage is no different. A journey of time and place. A dance with mother nature.
2011 Rising Tides
38% Grenache, 32% Mourvèdre, 30% Syrah
Never dominated by a single varietal, this wine emulates a field blend and is representative of the finest fruits of the 2011 Harvest from all of the vineyards we source from in the neighborhood as well as the estate. "Rising Tides lift all boats" and in the case of this wine, it consistently exemplifies the uplifting evolution of Linne Calodo. Enjoy now or cellar for 5-8 years.
2011 Problem Child
72% Zinfandel, 20% Syrah 8% Mourvèdre
If you are expecting loads of fruit, mind boggling aromatics and a deft balance, then look no further. This is your wine. It really has never been a problem, just a fascinating trip of fruit, acid, judicious barrel use with quest of balance.
Release Date: Winter 2013
