Joe joined the Silver Lake Country Club team as the Head Golf Professional in January of 2012. Joe, a Class A PGA Professional since 2006, grew up in Northeast Ohio in the Youngstown area. After high school, he attended the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach.  Upon graduation, he accepted the position of Assistant Golf Professional at Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, Massachusetts under New England PGA Hall of Fame member Jim O'Leary. But after one New England winter, he decided to head for warmer weather and worked under former PGA Tour Professional Jerry Heard at Silverthorn Country Club in Brooksville, Florida as the First Assistant Professional.  

While in Florida, Joe began dating his now wife Jana, who was then living in San Diego, CA. Seeing a future there, he moved to San Diego and became an Assistant Professional at the Morgan Run Club & Resort in Rancho Santa Fe (a Member of the ClubCorp Family).  It was while at Morgan Run that Joe achieved his Class A Membership with the PGA of America and also earned the Acushnet Scholarship for excellence in program performance.  In 2005, Joe was selected as the Employee of the Year at Morgan Run as well as a recipient of the "Rising Star" award.  

In 2006 Joe became the First Assistant Golf Professional at Fairlawn Country Club in Akron, OH. While at Fairlawn, Joe established one of the finest Junior Golf Programs in the area.  His Juniors captured the Junior Interclub Trophy four out of his five years at Fairlawn.  

In 2010, Joe was selected as the Northern Ohio PGA Assistant Professional of the Year. He also served as the Chairman of the Northern Ohio PGA Assistant/Apprentice Committee and Chairman of the Mentoring Committee for three years. In 2010 Joe was also selected to represent the Northern Ohio PGA at the PGA's first annual International Mentoring and Coaching Conference. As a golfer, Joe's professional career has seen several highlights. His best finishes include several top 10's in Northern Ohio PGA events, highlighted by a Runner-Up finish at the 2010 Northern Ohio Mitchell-Haskell Tour Championship. A year later in 2011, during the very same tournament, Joe recorded his first Hole-in-One.  His life low is a 66 (4 under par).
