Private Events Director, Lorelei Olzinger-Nelson is originally a Houstonian from the great state of Texas! She graduated High School in June of 1993 from Grand Island High School in Grand Island, New York.  She moved back to Houston and attended the School of Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Houston graduating in June 1995 with an AAS in Culinary Arts.  A final big move brought her to the Akron area to attend Kent State University where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Hospitality and Food Service Management in December 1999.

Lorelei is a certified Chef and Pastry Chef, having practiced professionally from 1995 through 2001.  She then began her sales career at the Crowne Plaza Quaker Square as Catering Sales Manager/Wedding Specialist where she was responsible for many large private events to utilize the massive 1,000+ guest facility.

In May of 2002, Lorelei started her career with ClubCorp at Silver Lake Country Club as Service Director.  A few months later, Lorelei became the Private Events Director. Since beginning her career at Silver Lake, she has exceeded her yearly sales plan seven times. Awards and recognitions include : ClubCorp Super Star – 2003, 2004 & 2005, ClubCorp All Star – 2006 & 2010 and ClubCorp President’s Club – 2005, 2007 & 2010.

Lorelei lives in Bath, Ohio with her husband Nelson.  In her free time she enjoys cooking, home renovation, travel, dining out, swimming and wine consumption.
