Carnegie Kick-Off: The Life and Influence of Charles Ives
Monday, April 29
6:00 p.m. Meet and Greet
6:45 p.m. Lecture

Featuring Teddy Abrams and DSO Musicians

As the DSO prepares to perform an historic cycle of Ives symphonies both in Detroit and at Carnegie Hall, we will explore the fascinating life and mind of one of America's most ingenious and prescient musicians. Charles Ives was an American original, an independent thinker devoted to recreating the world in sound. His music can be both stunningly beautiful and challenging to understand, but because of its powerful human and emotional message it is well worth deeper exploration!

Enjoy Chef's classic hors d'oeuvres and house wine
during the meet and greet.
