ASE’s Pay Trends Briefing: 2013 Compensation Survey Results
Tuesday, July 16
2:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Michigan has steadily recovered from the economic turmoil of the Great Recession. But employment growth remains lackluster.  What does this mean for the compensation rates and practices for local employers?  Which jobs or job families are experiencing the most significant growth? Which are in decline?  This session will report the results of the ASE Compensation Surveys, the surveys Michigan employers have relied on for accurate and reliable local market data for over 50 years. This informative session will focus on variety of topics including the following:

  • Labor and economic trends and how they may be affecting wages and salaries
  • Wage trends between the 2012 and 2013 survey years
  • A review of salary budget data
  • A review of the use and application of variable or incentive compensation
  • A description of the new survey features and a demonstration of the new Compensation On-demand Analytics (CODA) system

The presenter, Kevin Marrs, serves as Director of Survey Services at the American Society of Employers (ASE). In this role, he oversees all of ASE’s compensation and benefits survey development. ASE conducts a variety of local and national benchmark surveys, providing data to thousands of organizations in Michigan. For more than 15 years, Marrs has conducted research and analysis on the total rewards practices and trends of area employers. $18++ per person. (includes lunch!)
