Upon graduation in 1980, Dan began his career with ClubCorp at the Fairlane Club while attending Schoolcraft College. In 1985, he was invited to be an apprentice for the 1985 Michigan culinary team and again on the 1996 U.S.A. culinary team. Dan traveled all across the country, completing several culinary salons and ended up winning several competition medals. Dan left the Fairlane Club in 1998 to move to Barton Hills Country Club in Ann Arbor, for a five year run assisting in the kitchen operations, menu design and Member Tradition events.
In 2003, Dan returned to ClubCorp at Skyline Club and became Executive Chef within a short time. Dan and his team spent their time creating new dining concepts, menu development and creating a solid culinary experience for the Members. In 2008, Chef Dan had the opportunity to work with one of America’s most well known White House Chefs, Walter Scheib for an event featuring local Michigan executives. Dan prides himself on the personal aspect of connecting with Members, learning their preferences and making each Member experience one to remember.
On a personal note, Dan enjoys biking, his love of Mustangs and of course, enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife Cyndi reside in Dearborn and have two children.
