Oddly enough, John’s culinary career started in Southfield, MI when he was 16 yrs. old at the Golden Mushoom as a pantry cook. After this short taste of the restaurant business, he went off to the Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park, NY) to continue his training to become a culinarian. After that, much of his career was spent at several restaurant and hotel venues including Pike Street Restaurant, The Dearborn Inn, Park Avenue Café (Chicago), Country Clubs and Hotels.
Throughout his career, John has won many awards for food competitions and an ice-carving career that started in high school. He is also a certified Chef through the American Culinary Federation.
John’s passion for food is very prevalent in both his professional and personal life and he looks forward to share his passion with everyone who enters the Skyline Club. The members of the Skyline Club will continually drive him to create memorable culinary fare for all to enjoy.
