Juniors QuickStart Program (Ages 8 & under)
- Every Tuesday and Thursday, 10 – 11 a.m.
Our QuickStart program offers juniors with little or no tennis experience an opportunity to learn more about the game in a relaxed setting. Through the use of our QuickStart equipment (smaller racquets, nets, lines and lighter foam tennis balls), younger tennis players have the chance to practice their new skills in a comfortable, motivating environment. This is a great class to begin understanding the basics of tennis through a series of exciting games and drills, with an emphasis on skill development.
Beginner & Intermediate Levels (Ages 9 – 18)
- Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Our beginner and intermediate levels are separated by skill set and experience, and range from those just learning tennis to those simply looking to improve their game. Juniors who are skilled enough to hit forehands and backhands over the net from behind the service line, can maintain a rally of four to five shots and who want to play in Novice or ZAT-level tournaments are also welcome. Students in these levels will continue to develop their strokes, footwork and shot selection, as well as learn the rules of tennis and basic stroke production.
Advanced/Tournament Level (High School JV/Varsity, ZAT, Champ or Super Champ)
- Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Our advanced/tournament level is geared toward more experienced players who are competing on their high school team and/or are playing in Champ or Super Champ level tournaments. They will learn to advance their game to the next level by focusing on court positioning, offense vs. defense, shot selection, strategy and mental toughness. Skills are honed through a variety of live ball drills, feeding and match play.
Prefer a one-on-one setting? Our private lessons are built to enhance a player’s development, and can be used in conjunction with our group tennis classes. Schedule a lesson with our tennis professionals by calling the Tennis Shop.
