Jamie Selby

Role:General Manager
Serving Since:2017

Jamie has most recently served as Regional Vice President for Hampton Golf Management, while simultaneously serving as COO for the private equity club and community, Oldfield Club, located just outside of Hilton Head, SC. During his six years with Hampton Golf, Jamie's regional responsibilities extended to North Florida, Georgia, Arizona, WV, NJ and NY, while his expanded corporate duties included implementation and oversight of the company's national vendor program, as well as due diligence for acquisitions. While at Oldfield Club, he was responsible for all Club amenities and POA management of a 900 acre community, as the sole COO and GM of the entire operation. Having total oversight of the property, Jamie was able to ensure his team remained committed to delivering best in class services and offerings, consistent with that of a prestigious private equity community. During his time at Oldfield, he worked for equity partners, developers, advisory boards and also equity club and community boards when both had turned over to the resident Membership.

Jamie was involved in every detail of the Club operation including golf, fitness, aquatics, tennis, cottage lodging, equestrian, marina services, charter activities, naturalist programming, dining and all Member services and family activities. He is passionate about creating a family culture both amongst his team and the Membership, helping to establish a Member experience that is attentive, friendly and perfectly laid back.

In his previous position, Jamie was tasked with rebuilding the community image and achieved this by entrenching himself in the surrounding Bluffton and Hilton Head communities. Serving on the Executive Committee of Habitat for Humanity and also serving as Executive Director of the March for Babies Walk through the March of Dimes, both charities hosting their signature events at Oldfield Club. Through these events and numerous other charity events and community centric events, exposing the community was vital for success and Jamie took great care in doing so in such a manner that had zero negative impact on the Membership and in fact, enhanced what the community was all about. Through the efforts of the Oldfield team under his leadership, Habitat for Humanity was able to build 6 homes, several of which they contributed to the actual construction process with teams organized through his efforts.

He is a Graduate of Virginia Tech and holds degrees in Environmental Science and Horticulture, with emphasis in Turf Science, Contracting and Business. His skill set is vast having started his career as a Golf Course Superintendent, then moving to Head Golf Professional, F&B Director, then up the ladder in management and even golf course ownership. Along with his wife, Brandi and two year old son Pierce, the Selby family is excited to move to Kingwood and make their own lives part of the Kingwood life.
