I was born and raised in Ohio and lived there until 1999. While in Ohio I attended Akron University but after realizing my true calling,  I chose to pursue a culinary arts profession. My ClubCorp career began at Silver Lake Country Club in 1999. I started off there as a line cook and moved up the ranks to the position of Sous Chef. 
While at Silver Lake Country Club received the Super Star and Rising Star awards.

In 2010, the position of Executive Chef opened up at The Golf Club and I jumped at the opportunity to head south and enjoy the "island life." For the past five years I have truly enjoyed having the opportunity to get to know our membership and provide them with menus and dining options geared towards their every want and desire.

I am honored to be part of an organization where I can positively impact the lives of others and provide memorable experiences for our members and their guests.

Dana Johnson

Being born and raised in Perth, Australia, I ventured to the USA after qualifying for the Futures Tour (developmental tour of the LPGA) in 2004. One of the highlights of my career was being a part of the The Golf Channels, Big Break V - Hawaii in 2005 and winning a car. I played on the Futures Tour for 4 years before winning the Ladies European Tour Qualifying Tournament in 2007.  I played three more years on the Ladies European Tour before retiring from touring in 2011.

Based in Wilmington, Delaware with my husband, I started working at the DuPont Country Club in 2011 and developed a passion teaching.

In the 2013, we relocated to Hilton Head Island to be closer to my parents who moved over from Australia. We love living in the Hilton Head area and find it so interesting meeting many other people who have found a home here and hearing the stories which bought them here.

I started teaching at The Golf Club at Indigo Run in 2014 and have enjoyed getting to know the members and sharing my knowledge and experience from my touring days. My passion is to help my students better understand ways to maximize their swings and to introduce more shots and variety to their short games to allow them to score better.
