Alejandro Garcia joined The Manor Golf and Country Club staff in August of 2010. Developing and participating in tennis programs and events, he is working to increase member participation by actively promoting high caliber private and group lessons, junior programs, tennis tournaments, and ALTA and USTA leagues. He leads a staff of 12 and looks forward to growth. Alejandro previously served as Director of Tennis at the TCA/Midtown Athletic Club in Atlanta from 2006 - 2010. At Midtown, he successfully led a team of ten  tennis professionals and acted as a positive role model.

A USPTA Certified Professional, Alejandro was an All-American singles and doubles player at Abraham Baldwin College, where he also served as Assistant Coach. Originally from Venezuela, He was top 3 in the nation and top  20 players in South America where he had the opportunity to travel around the world. Alejandro also worked as a Coach for the Competition Training Centers in Atlanta.

Javier Blanco

Role: Head Tennis Professional

Javier Blanco joined the Manor Golf and Country Club Staff in September 2010. Javier helps the Director of Tennis guide the growth of the Tennis program.  In addition to the adult program, Javier’s current focus is growing our junior program and introducing junior tournaments to the Manor. He came from TCA/Midtown Athletic Club in Atlanta, where he served as Head Tennis Professional from 2008 – 2010. Before Midtown, Javier worked in Florida for over 14 years as an assistant tennis director at the Extreme Tennis Academy and The Nick Bollettieri International Tennis Academy. Javier had the opportunity to work with world class tennis players like Maria Sharapova and Alexandra Stevenson among others. In Venezuela, Javier was a top 10 Nationally Ranked player during his junior years. He has been a USPTA Certified Professional since 1992.

Vitek Wild

Role: Master Tennis Professional
Serving Since: 2011

Vitek Wild joined The Manor Golf and Country Club staff in August of 2011. Vitek teaches all levels of players – Jrs, & Adults. Vitek has over 10 years of teaching experience and specializes in high level tennis players.  For the last 5 years, he taught with Alejandro & Javier at TCA/Midtown Athletic Club in Atlanta. 

Originally from Prague, Czech Republic, Vitek’s success in tennis began early with a world ranking as a junior by the international Tennis Federation.  He came to play his collegiate tennis in the U.S. at Bowling Green State University in Ohio where he still holds the record for most combined singles and doubles wins. Vitek also holds the distinction of being Alejandro’s doubles partner!  He is a USPTA Certified Professional.

Heath Waters

Role: Home School Tennis Director

Heath Waters is one of only a handful of coaches in the world to be a current ATP and WTA registered coach on the men’s and women’s professional tennis tour. Heath’s professional players have had wins over many top world ranked tour players such as the likes of Andy Murray, Fernando Gonzalez, James Blake, Ivo Karlovic, Sam Querrey, Juan Ignacio Chela, and more. Heath is the founder of the Alliance for Coaching Excellence (ACE) Player Development System™ and runs the Homeschool program here at the Manor. Heath’s professional players have won more than 40 professional titles on tour and his junior students have won more than 30 gold balls. Heath and his wife, current professional tour player, Lindsay Lee-Waters own and operate a popular tennis instructional website www.virtualtennisacademy.com. Heath’s desire is to enhance tennis player development throughout the world through a pragmatic and scientific based approach.

Kirill Smolkin

Role: Master Tennis Professional

Kirill Smolkin joined The Manor Golf and Country Club staff in April of 2018.  Kirill teaches all juniors and adults and he has over 15 years of teaching experience and specializes in all level tennis players 

Kirill holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Georgia Southwestern State University. Additionally, Kirill holds a degree from Georgia Perimeter College, where he played on a scholarship under Billy Pate. (Prior extensive junior experience in Georgia with results for 18 and under in the top 10). 

 Kirill enjoys passing on his Junior ITF coaching experience in Tenerife-Spain, working with all levels of juniors and adults, including groups and clinics. 

 Kirill certifications are USPTA Elite Professional Certification USTA, High Performance Player Development Coaching, PTR – Junior Development Professional, USTA Sport Science, USPTA Career Development Achievement Award in 2016, Top 10 USPTA National Education Award in 2010 & USPTA Career Development Achievement Award in 2009

 He is originally from Russia and during his spare time, Kirill takes pleasure in various activities – performance training, jogging, swimming, and surfing. He is fluent in Russian, English and intermediate in Spanish

Leander Murphy

Role: Fitness Trainer
Serving Since: 2017

Coach Murphy is honored to be a part of The Manor Tennis and Fitness since September of 2015. He is USPTA Cardio Tennis Certified Instructor and an expert in Biomechanical Performance and Injury Reduction. He brings a level of excellence, years of experience and a scientific proven approach that produces and develops athletes of all abilities including the Adaptive and Special Needs Population. He believes in giving back through serving others. One of Coach Murphy's favorite quotes is "No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care." 

As a student-athlete at the University of Delaware, Coach Murphy completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a Concentration in Strength and Conditioning. He also completed a minor in Coaching.

Gustavo Anzola

Role: Master Tennis Professional

Gustavo Joined the Manor on August of 2014. He will focus on the growth of our Junior Program and Adult program during the afternoon and evenings.

Gustavo is a former nationally ranked junior in Venezuela, and a Scholarship Athlete at the University of Tennessee. Upon graduation, Anzola taught at the Tennis Academy of the South and Nike Tennis Camps, where he coached nationally ranked players, before becoming Windermere Tennis Director from 2008-2014.

At Windermere, Anzola led a team of 4 staff members and led several USTA and ALTA adult teams to division, city and state championships. Anzola brings an immense amount of tennis knowledge, experience and enthusiasm. Gustavo is a member of the United States Tennis Professional Association.

Blaine Sumpter

Role: Director of Junior Program
Serving Since: 2016

Blaine began coaching at The Manor in March of 2016 where his primary focus is junior development, as well as assisting with adult lessons. Before coming to The Manor Blaine operated a successful junior development program in the Lawrenceville, Georgia area. Blaine has been fortunate to produce numerous College Athletes, Top 100 Southern and Top 10 players in the Southern Region as well as the state of Georgia. 

Blaine has extensive USTA tournament coaching experience and has traveled throughout the Southern Region to National and Super National tournaments with his players. Blaine brings a unique coaching background with USTA High Performance, USPTA Competitive Developement, and USTA Sports Science Certifications. 

Along with his multiple coaching certifications Blaine is a graduate of the Professional Tennis Management Program at Ferris State University, where he was exposed to all areas of the tennis industry.

Blaine looks forward to helping all players develop into their full potential with his signature PATIENT, POSITIVE, PLAY BASED development model.

Alexis Ubiera

Role: Master Tennis Professional

Alexis Ubiera joined The Manor Golf and Country Club staff in August of 2018. He teaches all juniors and adults and he has over 25 years of teaching experience and specializes in all level tennis players.

Alexis is originally from the Dominican Republic where his passion for the sport of Tennis was established. He has achieved many titles in the Dominican Republic, one of which was having the honor of representing His country for the Davis Cup Team.

Alexis has been playing Tennis since the age of 8 and reached #14 in the world in ITF ranking for 16 & under. In his spare time Alexis enjoys spending time with his Family. He has a 14 year old Daughter and 20 year old son.

Maya Mammetgulyyeva

Role: Assistant Tennis Professional
Serving Since: 2018

Maya Mammetgulyyeva joined the Manor Golf and Country Club in November of 2018. Her primary duty is to assist the Director of tennis in various programs the club provides. As an independent instructor, she has successfully coached various private sessions that led her clients to win intermediate high school and alta kids matches. Her main focus has been junior development. Previously, Maya assisted in summer tennis camps at Brenau University and Chattahoochee County Club. 

Maya’s coaching style emphasizes the importance of basic details that make a huge difference during play. She will focus on footwork, grip, and style development. Also, she will teach the concepts of weapons and patience in the game. 

As a former college tennis player, she had a 17-2 record at Fresno City College and played top 3 lineups at Brenau University all three years in NAIA. In addition, was selected in the NAIA, all-conference southern states first team all three years. She is a PTR Certified Professional.

Alida Jakovenko

Role: Tennis Professional
Serving Since: 2017

Alida Jakovenko joined The Manor Golf and Country Club team in August of 2017. She assists the Director of Tennis with the growth of the Adult Program in the mornings as well as the development of the Junior Program in the afternoons. Alida has over 10 years of coaching experience with two years as the assistant coach for the University of Buffalo women’s tennis team. In addition to coaching Division 1 tennis, she has been teaching/focusing on 10 and Under Tennis, as well as juniors and adults.

Alida started playing tennis when she was seven years old in Timisoara, Romania. She became a top Junior player for her country before going to play on the WTA tour, reaching a top 300 singles ranking. Alida was then recruited to play for Florida State University where she played #1 Singles and Doubles during her collegiate career.

Alida has two wonderful daughters, Emma and Maia, whom she has been coaching since they were three years old. Alida is a Certified PTR Professional.
