Paul is a seasoned professional in the golf industry. He was raised in Houston and competed in Houston Golf Association Junior Program. He played golf for 4 years at The University of Texas while receiving his BBA - Marketing degree. After graduating he began his career on the opening team for Barton Creek Club and Conference Center in 1986 and the opening team as Director of Golf for the Hyatt Hill Country Resort.

Paul has spent the last 20 years as Director of Golf at Four Seasons Resort and Club, home of the PGA Tour Byron Nelson Championship.

He competed in 7 PGA TOUR events including 1998 PGA Championship and served 10 years on the NTPGA Board including President 2014 and 2015.

Paul was awarded the National PGA Merchandiser of the Year, Resort Category in 2004.

He and his wife, Shelley, have a daughter, Logan, that is a senior at Baylor University and has accepted a job in Sept. 2018 for ExxonMobil and will live in The Woodlands. Their son Brandon is a sophomore at Oklahoma University.

Paul loves outdoors, sports of all kinds, and competition.

Tatia George

Tatia George has been in the food and beverage industry for 20 years. Her most recent position was Director of Operations at Hyatt Market Street an upscale boutique hotel in  located in The Woodlands, Tx. She opened the hotel in 2009 as the food and beverage director and was soon promoted. She catered to a high end clientele as well as high profile VIP’s from the music and Hollywood scene. 

Previously she joined Club Corp at The Plaza Club in downtown Houston as The Private Events Director from 2003-2009. She was manager of the year as well as a member of Club 100 for making her sales plan. 

She began her career at Pappas Restaurants and worked her way up through the ranks. She had the privilege of being on the opening team for new restaurants. After successfully training new staff, she settled in at the prestigious Pappas Bros. Steakhouse as the catering director. 

Tatia is married to Doug George, who also works for ClubCorp as a Regional Chef. They have 2 daughters, Katie (14) and Leah (15).

Amber Sickafoose

Amber holds a BS degree in Marketing from Bellevue University. She started her career as a Director of Marketing for a financial company but quickly decided that sales was her real passion. Her golf career began in 2009 for The Woodlands Country Club as a membership director for both The Oaks and Panther Trail courses as well as The Woodlands Country Club courses. She is a very active member in the community and a graduate of Leadership Montgomery County class of 2013.  

Wanda Murphy

Wanda is native to the area and began her career in The Woodlands with The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center in 1992 in the accounting office. After six months in resort accounting she moved to the club accounting office for two years prior to moving into membership sales. The remainder of her 23 years at the club has been selling memberships and assisting in all areas of member service.

Bianca Spangler

Bianca is a graduate from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Apparel and Textile Marketing with a minor in vocal music. She spent the next 15 years in Durango Colorado working for Dalton Ranch Golf Club starting out as a buyer in the pro shop.  Bianca’s spare time was committed to retaining her LPGA certification and being the highest producing instructor to member’s and public.  In 2013 she was offered an opportunity to serve as membership director with responsibilities to promote the club through membership sales, wedding and events, and member relations.  Her love for this great game is apparent and she  takes pride in growing the game of golf and meeting potential member’s. 

In her spare time she loves golfing with her Dad, attending any sporting event and relaxing in the sun with friends.

Holly Hlopak

Holly Hlopak is our Member Relations Director.  She has over 10 years of event planning and publicity experience for a non-profit organization and over 10 years of experience in sales and management.  In her most recent position as Programs Director for The Woodlands United Methodist Church, she was responsible for all communications and publicity including website maintenance, event planning, event registrations, newsletters, video presentations, event themes, and activities and marketing designs for Children’s Ministry. 

Holly will help facilitate member communications, programming and retention. She has been a 20+ year resident of The Woodlands community and happily married with two fabulous kids.

Annemarie Apligian

Annemarie is originally from Allen, Tx. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University, located in the small town of Nacogdoches, Texas. Annemarie started her career with ClubCorp as a college intern at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Tx. After she graduated, she was hired on fulltime as their Private Event Coordinator assisting with corporate and social events. Annemarie then moved forward in here career and stepped into the role of Private Event Manager at the Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Tx. There she continued to build her range of events and added Golf Tournaments to her portfolio. She had the privilege of working on events such as George W. Bush Presidential Center’s Warrior Open and the 2015 Volunteers of America North Texas LPGA Shootout. Annemarie recently moved to Houston to further pursue her passion for private events and is proud to call the Woodlands Country Club home, as their Private Event Director.  

Brooke Tyler

Brooke Tyler is a graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Public Relations. She moved to the Houston Area in 2004 where she started her career in the hospitality industry. She worked for Marriott International for five years as an Event Manager planning various events ranging from corporate, social, to weddings. She began her career at The Woodlands Country Club in 2009 as an Event Manager where she planned Member Events, Member Association Events and Golf Tournaments. In 2012, she took over the Private Event Manager role where she focused on selling and executing all private events for The Woodlands Country Club. She has had the pleasure of working with many members, clients and brides to successfully implement their event. Some of her most favorite memories have been made at The Country Club. She has made some of her closest friendships while working here, as well as meeting her husband, Wes. Together they have a son, Weston, with whom they enjoy spending their free time.

Darrell Fuston

Matthew Nyren

Matthew was born and raised in Connecticut and came to us from Scottsdale, Arizona, where he was employed as Assistant Golf Professional for the PGA Tour’s, TPC Network of Clubs. He started at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut, private 18-hole course and host of the PGA Tour’s Travelers Championship. He then moved to TPC Scottsdale, a resort style 36-hole course and host of the PGA Tour’s Waste Management Phoenix Open. Matthew has been a PGA Member since 2011 and also a Titleist Performance Institute certified Instructor. 

Matthew and his wife Sasha have two children, Nikolas and Nathaniel who all love being part of The Woodlands community.

Bob Brown

Bob Brown began his career at The Woodlands in 1985 as an assistant golf pro at the TPC Course in The Woodlands. He worked his way up to the GM/Head Golf Professional position when the course was transitioned into what is now the Tournament Course of The Woodlands Country Club. After 23 years, Bob left to become Director of Golf at La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa in Montgomery and joined ClubCorp in the spring of 2015 as Head Golf Professional at the Player Course. 

Jimmy De La Cruz

Executive Chef De La Cruz was overseeing the culinary department at The Club at Cimarron in Mission TX since 2007 a ClubCorp Club before coming to The Woodlands Country Club, The Palmer Course. Chef De La Cruz has been with the ClubCorp Family for 9 years. 

His style of cuisine is a Mixology of world cuisines and “Blending Flavors”. With years of culinary experience, Chef De La Cruz served as chef for the Woodlands Resort in the Houston area of Texas, Aberdeen Woods Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia, Lajitas Golf Resort and Spa,“The Ultimate Hideout”, in West Texas, and various prestigious Country Clubs in San Antonio. He attended culinary school along with an apprenticeship program with the Texas Chefs Association (TCA) and the nationally accredited American Culinary Federation (ACF).  Chef De La Cruz began his career at Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, where he studied with the German Certified Executive Chef Paul Rossmeier. Chef De La Cruz continues to add to his experience by keeping up with culinary trends at ACF Chef Conferences and continuing education.

Rich, is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and has spent the past 30 years honing his skills throughout the East Coast and Southern United States. He attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, where he earned a degree in Culinary Arts in 1991.

His resume offers a wide array of experiences including fine-dining restaurants, high-volume ala carte restaurants, country clubs, and hotels. Most recently, Rich worked as a Chef-Instructor and Manager of Academic Affairs for a local Houston culinary school. He is always excited to share these experiences with club members and employee partners alike in his ongoing mission to enrich our culture and foster positive growth.

Trevor Salton

Trevor Salton is originally from Durban South Africa. Trevor attended Houston Baptist University on a tennis scholarship and graduated in May 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree. While at HBU Trevor competed as a NCAA division 1 athlete. Trevor has played tennis professionally in Europe most notably in the German Regionaliga representing TC Wolfsburg from 1987-1990. He has 28 years’ experience working with kids and adults of varying ages and ability levels. He feels his experience and expertise along with a dynamic staff of USPTA professional will enable him to help build a vibrant dynamic program at the club for both juniors and adults.

Trevor has 20 experience as a Director of Tennis most recently at April Sound CC and the former Woodlands Athletic Club. Trevor and his wife Melissa (A junior high teacher) reside in The Woodlands with their 3 kids. Gabby 20 Gavin 17 and Emery 13. He has a passion for teaching and all aspects of the tennis industry.
