Chef Gavirio was born in the city of Acuna, Mexico, a small town outside of Del Rio Texas. At an early age, Benito spent time in the kitchen with his family where he developed the longtime family tradition, “The Passion for Cooking.”
Enjoying his passion, Chef Benito went on to pursue a career in Culinary Arts as he attended El Centro College in the heart of Dallas, Texas. With over 20 years of cooking and restaurant experience, Benito has become an extremely accomplished chef and has had the opportunity to work in a variety of restaurant settings.
As he continued to gain knowledge of the culinary world, his career began to flourish as he assisted with the opening of the Gaylord Texan. He continued on his career path as the Executive Chef at the DFW Marriott South leading his team through the grand opening. As the expansion of Central Market grew, Chef Benito was also employed to assist with the Grand opening in Plano and Southlake, Texas. In regards to the flavor Chef Benito brought to Central Market, he began sharing his talent by offering cooking classes that maxed out capacity.
Chef Gavirio has also made guest appearances on Univision Television several different occasions as the featured Chef and was also featured in The D Magazine and worked on Celebrity shows with Top Chefs.
