|Role:||Golf Course Superintendent|
I’ve been working in the Golf Maintenance business for 23 years. I began working on the golf maintenance staff at Holly Hills Country Club in Ijamsville, MD at age 16 for a summer job where I spent five summers before deciding to pursue a career as a Golf Course Superintendent. After receiving my turf management degree from Penn State University I spent 5 years as an Assistant Superintendent. My last 2 years as an Assistant were spent at Chevy Chase Club, a private club located just outside Washington D.C. I then got my first Superintendent position at a small private club outside Baltimore called Piney Branch Golf Club where I spent 3 years. In 2004 I was hired by Manor Country Club, a 27 hole private club in Rockville, MD to supervise a full renovation of the Championship 18 hole golf course under the design of architect Arthur Hills. I grew in the new course at Manor Country Club and maintained it for the last 9 years.
I am happy to have recently become a new team member at Treesdale Golf and Country Club. I look forward to meeting the membership and working with the staff and members as we strive to produce the best possible golf course conditions and experience for all.
Other than my passion for the golf maintenance business, outside of work I spend most of my free time fishing, mountain biking and hiking. Needless to say I don’t like being indoors. Green side up!
