He attended the State University of New York at Delhi and received an Associates Degree in Applied Science for Golf Course Operations. Following the advice of several well-known Superintendents, he decided to continue his education at Clemson University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Turfgrass Management.
Early on in his career, Stefan knew he wanted to be part of a major tournament and was fortunate to intern at the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links. During that time, he was instrumental in the preparations for the 1999 US Amateur & 2000 US Open events. He then received an opportunity to join the prestigious team at Oakland Hills Country Club, which has hosted 6 US Opens, 2 PGA Championships, Ryder Cup matches and more.
Prior to joining the team at Treesdale Golf & Country Club, Stefan has been the Superintendent at Blowing Rock Country Club, a 1915 Seth Raynor designed course in the mountains of North Carolina, and most recently at our Sister Club, Diamond Run, in Sewickley Pennsylvania.
