Guest Speaker, CDR David Place, is currently a Research Associate with the Naval Post Graduate School and serves as a Technical Advisor to the Third Fleet, providing assessments regarding Unmanned Aerial Systems capabilities and requirements. Much of his Navy and civilian career has been devoted to Aviation Readiness and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle requirements. Tonight he will brief us on some of these groundbreaking technologies!

CDR Place started his career in the Navy as an enlisted sailor and was selected to the Navy Enlisted Scientific Education Program (NESEP). He completed his BS in Mathematics degree at the Univ. of Utah and followed that with flight school and his designation as a Naval Flight Officer.
