Evening Speaker Series: Stephanie Sonnabend

Stephanie Sonnabend, CEO of Sonesta International Hotel Corporation will discuss the diversity landscape of U.S. public company boards and what CEOs are looking for in board candidates on February 29th .  Ms. Sonnabend is co-founder and Chairman of 2020 Women on Boards, a national campaign to increase the percentage of women on U.S. company boards to 20% or greater by 2020. The campaign, now in its second year, categorizes companies depending on the number of women directors on the board and has just launched the 2020 Gender Diversity Database where the public can search to see how companies fare in their diversity efforts.

About Stephanie:

Stephanie Sonnabend is chief executive officer and president of Sonesta International Hotels Corporation, the hotel business her grandfather, A.M. Sonnabend, founded in the 1940’s. In this position, Ms. Sonnabend oversees the company’s thirty-three hotels, resorts and Nile cruises located in the United States, Sint Maarten, Egypt, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru.
