Author George Arnold began his book-writing career in retirement at age 58. His first book, Growing Up Simple: An Irreverent Look at Kids in the 1950s with foreword by Texas humorist and icon Liz Carpenter, was an instant success, winning the IPPY Humor Award as the funniest book published in North America in 2003, the Violet Crown Award as the best nonfiction book by a Texas author of 2003, and the coveted Silver Spur from the Texas Public Relations Association for marketing excellence.

The C.I.A. Cats series are multi-lingual adventure books for both juvenile readers and adults, featuring the crime fighting cleverness of Buzzer Louis and his best friend Cincinnati the dancing pig and Buzzer’s hilarious siblings, Dusty Louise and tiny orange tabby twins Luigi Panettone Giaccomazza and Luisa Manicotti Giaccomazza. His new release is a Detective Criag Rylander Clover mystery for adults.

George and his wife of more than 40 years live in the Texas Hill Country where they raise registered half-Arabian horses, coastal hay, dogs, cats and invisible goats.
