Ritz - Carlton Reynolds Lake Oconee

For the first time, the 2017 Couples Tournament will travel to the luxurious AAA Five Diamond Ritz Carlton at Reynolds, Lake Oconee rated one of the most stunning lake resorts in Georgia.
Southern charm and tranquility make this luxury resort a true gem, with five championship golf courses, the close proximity to uncommon shops in antebellum towns nearby, or relaxing on the patio, this resort has something for everyone.
Golf – Two Divisions
Open Division | Players 61 or younger
Senior Division | Male Player a minimum of 62
Teams will be one male and one female player with established USGA handicaps. The field for each division will be flighted by Combined handicap indexes of the 2 players. This event is open to members of ClubCorp Club clubs and golfers of all skill levels. Maximum handicap for men is 30 and 36 will be the maximum for ladies.
Participating couples will play three Lake Oconee golf courses all rated in the “Top 15 Best Courses You Can Play” according to Golf Week, with Golf Magazine rating two of the courses in the “Top 100 Courses to Play” and on the Georgia List, four of the Oconee courses made the top 10 list making this property the nation’s premier golf community.
There will be a practice round and one tournament round on The Oconee, designed by Rees Jones in 2002, renovated by Rees Jones in 2012 – The Oconee course has established a reputation as a visually stimulating, challenge and playable layout. Golf for Women rates The Oconee as “one of the 50 best courses for women”. The format for this course is Best Ball.
Great Waters – Designed by Jack Nicklaus in 1992 offers some of the most breathtaking golf scenery in the Southeast with 8 of the back 9 holes following along the shores of Lake Oconee. Enjoy the front 9 with rolling hills and forest. Fore-caddies will be optional on this course. Players will play a Scramble format on this course.
The Landings – The original course designed by Bob Cupp in 1992. The course features a variety of holes winding through naturally wooded areas and rolling hills making this course enjoyable for players of all levels. Golfers will appreciate the ornamental grasses reviving the design’s original Scottish–highlands character while playing a Modified Alternate Shot format.
