Carved by time between some of the oldest and newest mountain ranges in North America lies PGA WEST, a world famous golf resort just minutes from Palm Springs and Palm Desert, California and host for the first time to the ClubCorp Couples Tournament. Join 80 Couples to play Pete Dye’s TPC Stadium Course, The Mountain Course and The Dunes along with the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course. One round each of Best Ball, Scramble and Modified Alternate Shot. Lodging will be at the La Quinta Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria Resort. This desert hideaway at the foot of the spectacular Santa Rosa Mountains is a location you will not want to miss!
Open Division | Players 61 or younger
Senior Division | One Player a minimum of 62
Teams will be 1 Male and 1 Female Player with established USGA Handicaps. The field for each division will be flighted by combined handicap indexes of the 2 Players. This event is open to golfers of all skill levels. Maximum handicap for Men is 30 and 36 for Ladies.
Both divisions will play the following courses - 3 of which are ranked among Golf Magazine's Top 100 Courses you can play in the U.S.:
The Mountain Course - the course is literally carved into the Santa Rosa Mountains offering breathtaking views. Enjoy the signature 16th hole to appreciate the full beauty of this course.
The Dunes - links-style course offering a relaxed round of golf with a backdrop of rugged mountain landscapes which has which has hosted the PGA Club Professional Championship, the PGA Tour Final Qualifying School, the California State Open and the Ladies NCAA Championship. A course you don't want to miss playing!
TPC Stadium Course - Home of the CareerBuilder Challenge where legends have made history. Known as the Western Home of Golf in America, this Pete Dye jewel was inspired by the famed Scottish Seaside courses providing the ultimate golf challenge that has hosted the Skins Game, Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf and the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.
Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course - To give you the opportunity to play an additional course, Practice rounds will be on the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course, where around every corner you will find a new challenge, including the rare feature of two island greens. The Nicklaus Tournament along with The Stadium Course is the bi-annual host of the PGA TOUR’s final round of Q-School, which is attended by some of the best players in the world. Nicknamed by Members as the Nick Tourney, it is both very forgiving off the tee and extremely demanding around the greens. Without a doubt, a “must play” for not only a great test of golf, but for its magnificent desert setting.
Format will be 1 Round each of Best Ball, Modified Alternate Shot, & Scramble for both divisions.
Registration will begin December 4.
