Directions to The Homestead

Nestled amidst the breathtaking scenery of Virginia's Allegheny Mountains, only minutes from George Washington National Forest, our National Historic Landmark luxury resort located in Hot Springs, VA is accessible by auto, air or train. Only 70 miles from Roanoke Regional Airport and 30 minutes from Amtrak in Clifton Forge.

Transportation service to and from the Roanoke Regional Airport, surrounding airports and Amtrak can be arranged by calling The Homestead Activities Department at 800.838.1766, option 4. Advanced reservations required.  

• Round trip ground transfers from Roanoke Airport - $80.00 per person
• Round trip ground transfers from the Clifton Forge train station is $60.00 per person

The Homestead recommends using the directions below instead of GPS devices and mapping sites found on the internet.  (There are shorter routes however, the roads are not paved.)
