The Buckhead Club was founded by Justus C. Martin, Jr., who envisioned a prestigious and inviting club positioned on the top floor of the East Tower in the Atlanta Financial Center. Mr. Martin personally invited his friends and associates of Atlanta and the Buckhead community to comprise the Club’s Charter Membership, which successfully created the Buckhead Club. From an eighteenth floor vantage point, Club Members were able to enjoy business entertaining during the day and socializing with their business and community leaders in the evening.
Twenty years later, the Buckhead Club Board of Governors began to consider the future of the Club and its relevance to the Members of today and tomorrow. The decision was made to relocate the Club to a new home in the prestigious, fifty-story Sovereign Building directly across the street. The Club opened its doors in September of 2008 on the twenty-sixth floor, with 1300 Members and a panoramic view of Atlanta. The growth of the Club includes a state of the art kitchen, enhanced technology solutions, custom décor, Member lounge, ballroom, and athletics.
